How to remove local user accounts in Windows XP and Vista
Removing user accounts in Windows XP and Vista is very easy. I will firstly describe
procedure for WIndows XP and then we will move to Vista. If you wish to delete users
remotly you can use this Parhelia's tool: Windows Account Remover.
Delete user account in Windows XP
Here is step by step procedure.
- The best thing to do is to login as administrator, so you'll have all the permission
to manage all users on computer.
- Go to CONTROL PANEL and from the icon list choose USER ACCOUNTS
- Something like this pops up:

- You see I have 4 users on the computer. Accounts that are relevant to this article
are "miha" and "test". You can read more about "Guest" account

"ASP.NET" account here.
- Now, I choose and click user "test" and i get this pretty window:

- I circled the text "Delete the account" in red, which is clearly visible from the
image above. So, we click "Delete the account" and next page appears:

- There we have three choices. As the description says on the screen, if we click
"Keep Files" we can copy some of the private files to a safe place. I we click "Delete
files", everything from our account will be deleted. Please be cautios here what
will you choose. If you do not know what to do, you can still click "Cancel" :).
- Ok, I will choose to delete everything related to my "test" account. When we press
this we will be asked again, if we want to remove everything from "test" account.
That's it!!! We successfuly removed user account from Windows XP. Now let's continue
to Vista. There is a bit more work (playing around with your mouse) than in Windows XP.
Remove user account from Windows Vista
Here is step by step procedure.

- Now, I choose and click user "test" and I get this window:
